फ्लोटिंग कीबोर्ड हे एक सुलभ टायपिंग साधन आहे जे विशेषतः कीबोर्ड आच्छादनासह सोयीस्कर नसलेल्या वापरकर्त्यांसाठी विकसित केले आहे. फ्लोटिंग कीबोर्ड मुद्रित आच्छादन नसलेल्या कीबोर्डसाठी देखील उपयुक्त आहे. फ्लोटिंग कीबोर्ड स्क्रीनवर, निवडलेल्या भाषा आणि फॉन्ट प्रकारासाठी निवडलेल्या कीबोर्डचा लेआउट (INSCRIPT, ध्वन्यात्मक, टाइपराइटर किंवा कस्टमाइज्ड) प्रदर्शित करून टाइप करण्याची सुविधा देतो.
The Floating Keyboard is a handy typing tool developed especially for users who are not comfortable with the keyboard overlay. The Floating Keyboard is also useful for keyboards that do not have a printed overlay. The Floating Keyboard facilitates typing by displaying on the screen, the layout of the selected keyboard (INSCRIPT, Phonetic, Typewriter or Customized) for the selected language and font type.
Follow the steps given below to use Floating Keyboard.
Step 1 ▬ Start the Windows based application you want to use and apply a font depending upon the language and font type selected.
For help on selecting language and font type refer to Step 3 in Start Using ISM V6.
Step 2 ▬ Enable the Floating Keyboard from Keyboard on the ISM user interface, as shown below.
The Floating Keyboard resides on top of all applications running on the system.
NOTE ▬ Floating keyboard is placed in system tray when minimized.
Step 3 ▬ Click on the application you want to work with. Click on the Floating Keyboard keys to type. It is also possible to use the physical keyboard while the Floating Keyboard is active.
NOTE ▬ When toggling between applications you need to click on the active application each time before you can use the Floating Keyboard.
To type a character key that is located in the Shift position, press down the Shift key of the physical keyboard or the floating keyboard.
NOTE ▬ The layout of ISM V6’s floating keyboard uses the key arrangement pattern of the on-screen keyboard of Windows 2000 , Win XP and Vista operating system.
You can zoom in or out on the floating keyboard using the Options menu on the floating keyboard. The zoom effects are currently enabled only for Indian Languages on the Floating Keyboard.
